Some people are genetically prone to have smaller maxilla or due to habits upper arch ends up being narrow. With Rapid Palatal Expander we can expand the jaw. It has several benefits including gaining more spaces for the crowded teeth, helping with expansion of the nasal floor, helping with breathing problems and airway issues*. It can also help the doctor to avoid extraction of permanent teeth in some cases. This case was treated by Dr. Rangiani by a combination of expander and braces.

Severe Crowing
In case of severe crowing extraction of premolars is usually a very helpful way to correct the crowding and malocclusion.
